Warsaw Schools students can access and read or listen to digital ebooks or audiobooks using the Overdrive App Sora with Chromebooks or their own personal devices. Our library of FREE books is large and growing!!

Steps to access great books on Sora -- 

• Open the Sora app on your Chromebook or load and open the Sora App on your personal device.
• Find Genesee Valley BOCES in the list of schools
• On the Genesee Valley BOCES drop-down, choose Warsaw Central School District
• Student ID numbers will begin with a zero followed by your four-digit student ID. If the student ID is 5555, the Sora ID will be 05555
• Adult faculty, staff, or administrators who would like access, please contact Mr Lloyd for an ID. 
• Choose from a large and growing library of content!!
• If you would like access to a book that is not listed, contact Mr Lloyd to request a purchase. Some books can be added within a few days.

Available titles are limited and only a small amount are great reads, but some are very good and the good news is that there are no limits to the number of users who can access titles at any given time so we can all read the same book at the same time!

BOCES has acquired a free trial of Comics Plus Library Edition. Content includes thousands of titles and series for elementary, middle school, and high school students from Disney Princess, Toy Story, Angry Birds, Big Nate, and Bone to a large selection of manga titles by publishers including Dark Horse, Tokyo Pop, Viz Media.

The subscription is broken down into three distinct age groups according to content. Please consult with family members and caregivers for permission to access titles outside of your prescribed collection.

Because these collections are password protected, a video with access instructions and passwords are available to Warsaw students and faculty only on the attached Google Slide. 

Tumble Books has lots of E-resources for Elementary and Middle School students including high-quality and popular fiction and nonfiction print books, picture books, children's books, read-alongs, and graphic novels, all in e-book format.

Access is usually available with our WCSD Databases but during this unusual season is available with direct log-in through the Warsaw Public Library. Check out all of the great content and thank a librarian later!

To access OWWL2Go for e-books and e-audio books, you will need your library card number and your pin/password, which is the last 4 digits of the phone number the library has on file in your record. If this does not work, and you need to reset your pin/password, you can send a password reset request to this link.

If books you want are not available, place a hold on the waitlist. Unfortunately, if your card is not updated in the library files or if there are excessive overdue fines, OWWL2Go may not be available.

The subscription audiobook service, Audible, has made some content available for free during the Coronavirus lock-in. There is a lot of public domain (older) content and some Audible originals but also an assortment of popular content. It is certainly worth checking out! Take a look. -- audible to start to listen.

Wattpad are unpublished stories written by authors of all kinds. Some are edited, improved, and of very high quality while others are available only in draft form. Multiple published authors in recent years have found their way via Wattpad and so it is recommended both as a place to find fun new stories to read, but also as a place to post stories you have written or are writing for others to read and to comment upon.
